Color your own Orthoceras!
Have the kids color their own orthoceras. There are two downloads below - the first is a coloring sheet of an orthoceras swimming. The second is a much light outline of an orthoceras fossil that can be used as a base to draw and color what they believe the orthoceras may have have looked like. A photo of the fossil I used as a basis for both the coloring page and the fossil outline is below. Remember, the orthoceras fossil is a mold of the inside of the orthoceras shell, not a fossil of the outer shell.
